Tree and Shrub Pruning:
People have been pruning trees and shrubs for thousands of years, arbitrarily cutting and chopping causing many of our valuable shade trees to become infected with decay and infested with insect pests causing further avoidable structural failures and declines years later. Sadly, due to the fact that abusive treatments take years to show obvious symptoms, people are slow to associate the cause (poor pruning) with the effect (the tree is slowing falling apart). This still goes on today.
Due to the hard work and diligence of a number of scientists over the last couple of decades, the focus of pruning has turned to the health and benefit of the plants themselves. (As healthy trees and shrubs are not only aesthetically pleasing, they are also safer and longer-lived.) Culturally correct pruning not only enhances the tree’s form and structure, it can increase the tree’s natural ability to resist disease and wind damage.
Our staff is continuously researching the most up-to-date science available. This research is essential. As the science of arboriculture (tree care) is just now starting to break through and gain respect as a discipline, the industry as a whole is gaining access to facilities, resources and talented minds that provide us with exiting new scientific discovery.
Therefore, if the health and longevity of your trees and shrubs are important to you, don’t trust them in the hands of just any “tree cutting company”. Give us a call; our prices our reasonable and you’re sure to get the high quality workmanship you and your trees deserve.
